What is an ID Card?
This is a passport of a citizen of Ukraine in the form of a plastic card. Holders of such certificates can enter the personal key of a qualified electronic signature on the contactless electronic carrier (chip) of the ID-card. Please note that ID cards do not automatically contain a private key. For more detailed information on the provision of this service, you can contact the territorial divisions of the State Migration Service of Ukraine.
If you have a suitable device for reading information from the chip of the ID-card, you can authenticate to ID.GOV.UA as follows:
- Select the appropriate type of the reader to read from the list.
- Read the private key from the contactless electronic carrier (chip).
- In the appropriate field enter the personal identification number (PIN2) you entered when receiving the ID card.
